Acalabrutinib and CALQUENCE

CALQUENCE is the established branded acalabrutinib medicine in the U.S. and EU. Acalabrutinib was originally developed by Acerta Pharma, with AstraZeneca acquiring a majority interest in Acerta in 2016.

Acaluxen should not be described as CALQUENCE or as being manufactured by AstraZeneca unless product documentation establishes that relationship.

Why 100 mg matters

The 100 mg designation identifies the amount of acalabrutinib contained in the dosage unit. It does not by itself determine the correct treatment regimen for an individual patient.

The current U.S. labeling generally recommends 100 mg approximately every 12 hours for the approved CALQUENCE indications, subject to indication, drug interactions, organ function and toxicity-related modifications.
